You might also have more running in the background on your touch than we do. I noticed that after I did a HARD reset, and didn't install ALL of the programs I had on my touch before, a lot of my progs run a lot smoother. There are some system resources that are being eaten up on startup with some apps that don't show up in your task manager that may be the source of your lack of system resources.
