back to the thread....not sure if this will help or not but found this on the developers site under the support section....not sure how to do this. if anyone knows thats great. here it is:

Based on user feedback, we inform you that, in the current versions of Nav N Go iGO 8, the Windows time zone may be incorrectly set depending on the GPS position (for instance, Minsk is selected for Hungary). The correction of the error is in process.

As soon as the correction is made, we will immediately release an automatic update that can be downloaded free of charge with the use of the Content Manager. The exact time of the correction will be published on my.navngo.com. In case time-zone errors appear, you can temporarily correct them on your device by editing:
/Program Files/iGO8/sys.txt
and adding the following lines:
[timezone]
sync_os_timezone=0
reset_os_timezone=0
Attention: The modifications will only be activated when Nav N Go iGO 8 is restarted.
