I did everything as specified in the instructions. I almost got it right, but I've run into something REALLY weird.

If I hit the POWER button on the side to turn the screen off and then hit the POWER button again, the SLIDE2UNLOCK is invoked. I slide...and THEN i get this sweet interface (almost) as shown in the WM7 theme pictures.
I do all of the slide-with-finger animations, left-to-right...right-to-left.
If I slide my finger UP or DOWN, it exits and I'm back to the BLANK today screen.
WHY:
1) Does my reset start at a blank today screen and I have to turn the screen off and then on, to get this interface?
2) Does sliding my finger UP or DOWN exit this interface and take me back to this blank today screen?

I've sat here for 2 hours and finally broke down and posted for help.
I don't know what else you have install on your phone like dash says but I know if you have swcked mobile shell installed and you are actually in the mobile shell screen or interface, if you slide your finger from up to down, that exits the swcked mobile shell screen and takes you back to your regular today screen, in your case you said its empty. So when you slide from up to down, your screen will be blank.
