Buzz up!on Yahoo!Did you recently buy an iPhone only to discover a new version was about to be released? Fear not, AT&T's got you covered. Gizmodo and Crunchgear confirmed a few things that weren't mentioned at Monday's keynote.

Glenn Lurie from AT&T Mobility (via Crunchgear) says that if you bought an iPhone after May 27, 2008, you're eligible for an iPhone 3G upgrade when it goes on sale July 11 at no additional charge (except maybe that $10 increase in your data plan). He didn't give any other details, so I'm assuming you return it to the store where you bought it. If that's the case, this may be a good time to look for your iPhone receipt.

As you know, early adopters who want to buy an iPhone will have to sign another two-year agreement. Gizmodo says that the new agreement will overwrite your previous agreement with AT&T, so you'll only have two years left on the contract as opposed to three or four. This is definitely good news, since I'm sure the iPhone 3.0 will be out before your new contract is over.
