Yea, it did me like that at first also, but I went to where the pictures are locateid on the phone or memory card, clicked send, when the messaging account came up, I chose "sprint Picture mail", and entered the to person from there. It takes about 5 - 8 seconds to open, but it will open with the picture already in the media area. When I send it, I get the provisioning message, then a message that states the picture has been sent, then another message stating Error 1012. I sent a picture to a personal email and they are going out.
After my first successful send, I was able to do it the way you want to do it by going through Sprint Picture mail from the account selector. Weird, but it's free and working so I guess I have to make do..
