Thanks Mike. I finally found that answer in the xda thread too:

the update18 release is now storing most of the image files in \Windows\ManilaGFX\ folder. so most (if not all) themes created for a previous release will not work. use the latest theme manager to hopefully get around that if u don't want to edit/install the theme yourself.
