So I had a chance to play with the Live Search on the Diamond today. It works great, and it is definately more feature rich than the Instinct's version. HOWEVER, one thing I found missing was on the Instinct you could do the following:

1 - Perform a Live Search on say 'pizza' and it would return pizza places near your GPS location
2 - You could pick your pizza place you were interested in and it would display phone number, address, and display map/directions.
3 - It also had a button you could touch (looked like a lil car) and it would send the address information over and launch Sprint Navigation. You could then use it to get the spoken turn by turn directions using Sprint Navigation.

I have turned over every rock, at least I think I have. I have noticed in contacts you have the ability to launch Sprint Navigation to get directions to a contact's address. So I guess you could save the search result you are interested in to contacts, and then go to contacts and launch into Sprint Navigation that way. Not sure if that is less "clicks" than just writing/memorizing the address and entering it into Sprint Navigation yourself. I suppose if you have had a few drinks it wont be easy to remember the address so the contact method would be the better work around.

HOWEVER, has anyone see a plug in, update, or option that is buried that will let you go from Live Search directly to Sprint Navigation? It is such a nice feature if you are already on the road and trying to instruct someone who still has the first flip phone ever made as their phone! 1 less thing you have to give them a crash coarse in!
