welcome, and did you look ast the tutorial in my signature below on how to flash...i have a feeling that you didnt hardspl the bottloader.
If he didnt Hard SPL the bootloader then it wouldnt accept unsigned code so it wouldnt have even flashed.. I could be wrong but thats my understanding.. I do think he missed something though
