if you have ever ran a custom rom befroe than yes. what you are basically doing is unlocking the bootloader so you can trick the device into reading the custom rom of choice (or other carrier rom) into thinking its the carriers certified rom.
Its tricking it into thinking its a carrier specific code? I thought it was just making it so it would accept unsigned code... Either way.. Same effect
