Unfortunately turning on the sound does make the framerate drop. You can tweak the settings and put it on the lowest quality sound settings so that it doesn't effect it as much but it will still play a lot smoother without sound. As far as mapping buttons I found this program but haven't tested it yet. It supposedly lets you map whatever keys you want. After you install it you have to open up the games folder through programs and click on the "switch to M$ IME" button. After you are done playing the emulator, I think you are supposed to uncheck the box and then close the program. Let me know how it works out!
