you need resco to overwrite a file correctly...I don't know why you have battery issues... mine runs like a champ for over 24hrs.and activesync does that on any rom. its normal. there is a way to set it up for manual server. search for it.
I've had activsync run before but it doesn't come back up once i exit it like here.
And i use Resco explorer but for some reason under the Windows folder, only a few folders and files show up, not everything that's actually there. and I renamed it welcomehead.192.png because that's what yours is called but i also tried welcomehead.96.png and that didn't work.
