One of my gurus, he's learning me about radios, has this collection of Hot Wheels, like over a 1000. Since his health has deteriorated of late, he and his wife are wanting to clean things out, make it easier for him to get around; and of course, get some cash together.

Anyway, the reason for the post is this - does anyone collect these? I can't see selling them on ebay or something like that, posting each one individually, that's a pain, and I don't know diddly about these things. I am hoping that I could find someone who can tell me what I need to post in a craigslist listing, and what would be the best way of packaging these for sale. There are series, groups by year, and some other types, some are complete, others are not. I have looked at a lot of ebay and craigslist listings, to get an idea, but haven't found any that look like the kind of collection that I have here. I'm in the process of inventorying and cataloging them, but I don't know what kind of information a collector is going to want. ie. do I need to list colors, SKUs, models?

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I'm not making any money off of this, I'm just trying to help them out. They don't have the time, like I do...LOL, nor do they have the PC or internet access.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
a lot deals on if they are in the packaging or not, what condition, how old,etc... your best bet is taking them into either a hobby store that deals with them or research them and craigslist it up.
