if ur goin black its super easy just get some RIT dye from walmart and put about half of it in a pot and let it boil, and then turn the heat down, i turned it down between a quarter heat to half heat and throw your cover in. There's no need for tape or anything on the camera lens as the dye is fabric dye and won't get on the plastic. Stir it occasionally for about 35 minutes and bam! you got yourself a black battery cover. I did it and it worked beautifully.
