When you start "installing" and running alot of "cab" files and updates and stuff, it's going to eventually start overloading your phone and it WILL WIG OUT! LOL it's just that it can only "handle" so much?
Do you also have the overclocking app? HTC PERFORMANCE? it helps alot too on slower devices! I used it on my mogul, did wonders! Works even better on my touch!
Mogul has very loow memory compared to other devices out, although its a great phone if you have other stuff already loaded on there, it will be difficult to get a stable install of M2d... trust me I used to have a touch (double the memory of mogul and it was difficult on that)...
your best bet is to do as Angie and monkey suggest and flash an M2d/TF2d rom and just reload your apps from there (whatever apps u may have thats not already included in your rom)...
but if your dead set against that and are still serious about installing M2D, i believe your going to have to remove your programs or just wipe the memory all together with a hard reset or clear storage, and start all over, this time intalling M2d first, as its going to be the largest, and your overall platform everything else is built on... Still if your gonna do all that, again I say... you may as well just flash...
