I think many people DO APPRECIATE the efforts but there is an unhealthy obsession with getting "thanks" on this site like I have never seen anywhere else before. In some threads the same people are thanked for posts multiple times. it is almost comical. The fact this site is busy and people come and post is proof enough that people DO appreciate the info here.
You should not need to be "thanked". The people who contribute here the most (and they know who they are) ARE RESPECTED across the net and in the community. Respect is way more important then clicking a "thanks" button.
