sure you can hit a "thanks" button i guess, but long before i actually came to this site i had heard about dash, ice, superman and the other regulars here from other people on other sites. People respected them for their efforts. That is real and extends beyond the borders of this site. Hitting the thanks button is just an ego boost. They should be proud of the reputation they have built that extends well past this site. I was told about this site from an employee at a radio shack who personally told me the names i mentioned previously and how helpful and well known they were in the mobile phone/windows mobile/gadget world. That is real.
