Default Re: Dropped in warter

I was once informed by a old co-worker of mine who said he used to work at sprint (or maybe his friend worked at sprint? anyway..) that what you should do is take the battery out of the phone, soak it (asap after getting in water) with alchohol, like 90%, then FREEZE it for 24 hours, and let it dry in front of a fan for up to 48 hours. According to him, he said that it should push all the water out of the circuitboard and evaporates it faster. And an added bonus is that (supposedly) it ALSO prevents the water mark pads from changing color? (there are some sort of markers or pads in the phone that, if it ever comes in contact with water, they change color and sprint will no longer warranty or service your phone) So its supposed to be an all around perfect fix. SUPPOSEDLY!

Remember please, I am just regurgitating information, this is all VERY unconfirmed by me. I would search more into it and attempt at your own risk :)

Btw, it's also supposed to work for all electronics. So not to just limit yourself to cell phones, anything that comes into contact with those stalking pools of water that are always waiting around corners, dark allys, your hair after a shower, to destroy your precious pricy electronics! DRAT! ;)~
