mkae sure your phone is connected to your comp through active sync... when the multi colored screen apprears dont do anything, your active sync may look like its disconnected but then itll say usb at the bottom of the multicolored screen on your device... as long as it showing that youll be fine... make sure you pc doesnt run anything else or go into hibernate/sleep mode during this time... try again and let us know how it goes... if it again freezes... soft reset or pull battery and report back w/ your finding...specifics such as what exactly that error said and such, okay?!
