Hope this auto merges couldn't find edit. I just had to reinstall the keyboard cab again. I haven't added or removed any programs. I have the cab on my card for an easy fix, but does anyone have an idea as to why that would just quit working.
Certain applications that are designed to force it into number mode will "break" that fix. Editing contacts is one I know of off the top of my head. The good thing is all you have to do is re-run the classic word completion cab to fix it. Doesn't even require a soft reset. I remember reading some posts around the web on it where someone was thinking of writing a mortscript or some manner of app to watch the registry key and just switch it back whenever it changes. Never saw if anyone did though.
Bottom line, whenever it happens just re-run the cab and you'll be good to go.
