I haven't tried to see if it still operates. But the red light does not get stuck on, there is actually no ready light at all so i do not believe it is bricked.

Hmmm reallly? Ill take it to the repair store this weekend and get them to take a look at it. Did you have to pay anything for the one they sent you?
