I have never done tethering just Wifi Router...So when I go to tether and select internet sharing and what not nothing happens....it does not connect...Do I need to do anything else?

you need to make sure you arent connected to wifi on your computer cuurenrtly and than you will be fine and it will connect to your phone using that as a modem.
