I am able to access the net for various apps like GPS, etc., but don't seem to have my WiFi set up properly. Often I am asked for a user name and password before I am able to connect. I'm not talking about trying to access password protected WiFi spots, it happens at free locations as well. When I go to my "Settings" in the Comm mgr, I don't know if I should use the "My ISP", "data" or "My Work Network." Similarly, under the "private network" drop down list do I use "My ISP", "data" or "My Work Network?"
When I go to "edit" the # is #777, the name for the connection is "Data" but the "cellular line" is greyed out under the modem list.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PS I mistakenly posted this question in the "homePC" thread after doing a search and finding the thread there
if the cellular part is grayed out then what you have to do is delete that whole modem section and start over again

Make sure you input "Phone As Modem" then #777 and make sure you check on cellular line.then leave username and password field blank (if your provider is sprint) and save you should be good.Make sure you under "MY ISP"
