My father (ex navy seal) was a basket case and so upset he could barely talk. Well, to make a long story short, she was expected to be in the hospital at least a month because of all her infection and breathing problems (due to her 40+ years of smoking). so yesterday morning I call to talk to the charge nurse and she tells me what has happened. that the doctors are just baffled because her infection is mostely gone, her breathing stats are back to normal and she's got her color back. i then call her and talk to her on the phone and she sounds better than she had sounded in years. so. for all of you that think miracles never happen. this is an example of how they do.
the part that i haven't mentioned is that my wife has been a trauma nurse for years. she said that in her career, she's seen only two people that had happen to them what mom did. one of those passed away and the other was in the hospital for weeks and finally healed 100% about a year later. the lady that passed away was mom's age. the lady that lived through it was only in her early 30s. so to be honest, we were prepared for the absolute worse situation.
