I made the jump to give Android a shot, because I know it has all the right concepts and direction to be a huge player in this market. I'm loving my Hero. Not a hard transition. It'll take a sec to feel how works, but it will come easier than someone with no knowledge of WM and trying to work a WM device. You can have no knowledge of Android and it will all come together. Also, with us knowing that Eclair Android 2.0 will be released for us Hero owners is huge with the additional capabilities. LAR as mike mentioned above is a sick program and from the video I have seen on Google Navigation... ridiculous. I'm stoked and can't wait to get the upgrade. Having a capacitive screen doesn't hurt either :) Not going to take anything from the TP2, because I still love my WM and have heard nothing, but good things in that department. For me, it was about change and what Android had to offer. From there, I can jump back and forth from TP to Hero and I'm deciding whether to give in and get TP2 just to add to my collection :) Good Luck on your decision.

I've heard great things about TP2 battery from Dash, which just posted here and on threads, and I was texting with Goku the other day and was letting me know about the life of his battery. I can tell you with the Hero, I haven't had battery life like I do with it. Especially, how I use it, I'm such a Power User, but it gives and gives and I'm just amazed. I didn't have this type of life with any previous PDA/Device regardless of ROM.
