I grew up with rifles & shotguns. A few years ago, I decided carrying around my big sticks was a little impractical. So, I decided to test the handgun waters with a cheap buy.
After researching for a while, I decided on a Hi-Point .45.
I figured, at the price they sell 'em at, if I didn't adapt well to handguns, no big loss. If I did, most of the reading I'd done on them suggested they were decent, not great, guns.
That was about 3 years ago. I have yet to replace my Hi-Point. It's big, heavy, and coyote ugly. But, the aim is as true as any handgun I've shot since, and with well over 1000 rounds through her, she's only jammed once. That jam came after I'd foolishly put three boxes of ammo through her w/o cleaning & really without letting her cool off. Plus, too, and also, it was cheap re-pack ammo.
I'd post a picture, but like I said... it's ugly.
