FYI for everyone: there seems to be a misconception about garmin software.

1. there is navigation software, which doesn't have any maps and
2. maps without any software.
3. you need both to work together.

this thread is for the maps only.

if you have installed and regged the navigation software from the other thread, you only need to download the map from this thread and drop it into the garmin folder on your sd card.

about 3 to 4 times a year garmin will release map updates for their gps units and mobile xt. thus maps 201010, 201020, 201030. with each update the only thing you should need to do is drop the new maps into the garmin folder since they have updated information.
