Default AT&T service on the fritz? You’re not alone

  • AT&T appears to be experiencing an outage.
  • The first signs of trouble appeared at roughly 1pm ET.
Even in 2024, cellular service is still a fickle beast, and it doesn’t seem like we ever have to go very long before we’re hearing about the latest outage from one of the big national networks. This afternoon, all our AT&T alarm bells are going off, as we spot what looks like a service outage.

Subscriber reports of issues with AT&T started piling up on Down Detector about an hour ago. We’re also finding complaints on social media, and on Reddit’s AT&T sub user Wild-Distribution759 has gotten a thread going where other AT&T users are sharing their own problems.
