Samsung has started rolling out the
Wear OS 5-based
One UI 6 Watch update to the
Galaxy Watch 6 and the
Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in the USA. The update was
released in other regions, including Europe, last week.
Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic get One UI 6 update in USA
The One UI 6 Watch update, which is based on Google's Wear OS 5 operating system, is now
available in the USA for both Bluetooth and cellular variants of the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
The update has a download size of 1.8GB. For the Galaxy Watch 6, the update has firmware version
R945USQU1BXJ5, while the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic update has firmware version
R965USQU1BXJ5. Both updates include the October 2024 security patch.
Several Galaxy Watch 6 series users in the US have
confirmed that they have received the update. It is the first major software update for the Galaxy Watch 6 series, and it brings several new health and wellness features that were introduced with the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Ultra.
