Yesterday,
Samsung released
a software update to the carrier-locked variants of the
Galaxy S21,
Galaxy S21+, and
Galaxy S21 Ultra, for the United States. It offered the
December 2024 security patch that
fixes several security issues present in the previous software.
Now, the South Korean tech giant is rolling out the same software update to factory-unlocked models of the three smartphones as well as to their international versions.

The new software update for the factory-unlocked versions of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra has firmware version
G99xU1UESEGXL1, whereas, that for the international versions of these smartphones is
G99xBXXSEGXK1.
If your Galaxy S21 hasn’t notified you about the new software update yet, you can check for it manually by heading over to
Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware from
SamMobile’s firmware section.
