How to Setup Widsets on the Touch

Hey guys and welcome to my tutorial on how to setup widsets on your touch. The first thing that you should know about your touch running java applications is that the Java emulator that comes with it pretty much sucks. Therefore you are going to need Midlet Manager, which is a third party freeware application that is very easy to install and has a lot more compatibility with java applications.

To see a video of WidSets in action...it's a bit distorted and im working on a new video of this and a few other java applications that is of better quality but you'll get the picture.

1. Download Intent Midlet Manager Here:

2. Drag Cab file to your device and install it.
3. Once installed go to Start > Programs > MIDLet Manager and open it.
4. Click Menu in the bottom left, then go to install, then Browse.
5. This will bring up IE, navigate to http://get.widsets.com
6. When that loads, click download Widsets
7. It will ask you if you trust this website, just click yes and it will start downloading and install.
8. Now we are going to do the stuff you have to do on the PC, so go to https://www.widsets.com/register.html and register for this. You have to register so that no matter what device you go on, if you enter your username, it will bring up your dashboard.
9. Once you have registered you can login on the website on your computer and click on dashboard manager on the left.
10. A page will load with what they call a dashboard, this is exactly how it will load on your device, you can move around your widgets, delete and add them right on this website and they will auto update on your phone the next time you load widsets.
11. Go back into your MIDLet Manager on your device, you will see a nice little shortcut for Widsets, just click that and it will start loading.
12. It will ask you if you want the program to access the internet to download widgets and stuff, just click yes
12. Once it loads up you will be able to enter your username and password, if it does not prompt for username and password at the start, just click on the main blue box and it will ask you to login there.
13. After you enter your username it will download all of the widgets straight from the internet and you will be able to customize them in any way you want, online or on your phone.

Have fun with this guys you can even make your own custom widgets!

nice tutorial bro im gonna give it a shot after seeing the video got me thinking of the possibilities that could be arousen with this app. ill report back with what i think of the app in a seperate thread of course lol.

nice cant wait to see it, that might be the step that makes me go to widsets!!
