Default Google maps saved on SD card

hey I havent tried this but will it work? I travel alot for work and i use google maps alot.. and save locations... so i was wondering if installed google maps on my SD card... will i lose my locations that i have saved?

p.s. I flash my phone alot.. lol new rom... flash time..

you would have to make sure all the settings and saved maps are on the storage card and stored on there and not the main memory..... i would ahve to look into that more since i dont really use google maps too much sicne sprint nav is free for me.

how good is sprint nav with saving locations? For my job i travel to the STICKS!!! places where i dont get EVDO service... grass for miles!! but still get reception... can sprint nav save locations??

yes it can and i love it personally, very easy to use and fast, also gives you updates on whether or not there is an accident, constructions, backup, etc before you get caught up at a stand still. when it recognizes it you can select an option that appears on the screen on whether to avoid the traffic or keep going. you can also set return trips, set to no highways, no toll roads, and all the other fancy features that you see with tomtom and garmin gps units :) and the best thing is that all maps are updated automatically too so you always have up to date information and not have to load multiple maps :) the voice turn by turn directions are pretty cool and come in handy too :)

naw not possible and it will work wherever you have signal.... never lost it once from michigan to tenneesee and went through all of kentucky and ohio in themoddle of nowhere without troubles.

You don't have to save anything except for the sprint nab cab...all of your previous addresses that you have gotten directions to will be saved on their server so even after a new flash you can load up sprint nav and choose recent destinations and it will pull up your most recent locations

really they save it now!! i will have to start using that feasture again than... when i started with sprint nav after a HR or flash you wouldnt have them anymore.
