[NEWS] Sprint Rhodium (TP2) Possible 3.5mm! [CONFIRMED]

**UPDATE**
Sprint HTC Touch Pro2 shows up sporting a 3.5mm headphone jack



We already knew the CDMA HTC Touch Pro2 headed to Telus and Verizon had been upgraded with a 3.5mm headphone jack, so it's not a huge surprise that the Sprint version has one too, but it's still nice to see proof. Still no word on a release date or pricing, but if these things are sneaking out there like this we can't imagine we have long to wait.

So awhile back there was leaked photos of various carrier roadmaps and what-not. And after reading a phew topics about sprint possibly leaving the 3.5mm headphone jack off, i conducted a little research to see if this well be in fact true.

And it hit me, While we have back and front pictures of the sprint TP2, we don't have any of the corners. BUT, going back to the leaked roadmap pictures, there were indeed shots for every side/corner of the Rhodium. So what i basically did was use an enhanced image enlarger to see if i could notice any plausible hints that there is indeed a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The original (largest res photo i could find) was 712x533


And now look at the Enlarged version






And what i see looks like a standard HTC USB connector on the left and 3.5mm on the right!



So what do u guys think?

i'll bet it will be a big selling point. i've finally started thinking about putting music on my phone, but i like my 4 gig sony walkman with noise cancelliation better.

however, as soon as it's release, i'm all over it.

no themere fact of using that damn adapter that adds bulk and no use for a case sucks.... it goes on the bottom too so you have to put your phone inside your pocket upside down with this huge adapter sticking up like it took some viagra..... not a way to get chics ill tell you what hahhhaa (shhhh though i told venum the chics dig it hahahhaha)

I'm not sure if I have room for 2 big ass things in my pants... this prolly wont be able to fit in my pocket, lol... I'm just saying....

true but audio docks are easier to make for phones with the audio port on the bottom so they can just plug into the dock

true that they could do what they do for the palm pre desktop chargers with the coiled cord.... would prolly look like shit and place a lot of stress on the inside walls of that port though... good call venum didnt think of it that way. durr durr durr had a noob moment :noob:

yeah :) im hopin some nice docks come out for this i am definitely willing to buy a really nice sounddock for TP witha 3.5 mm jack...that just means I can listent o music again!

oh yeah and ill br writing them emails to test out different docks for sure also :)
