What's new in V3?

Thanks to our customer feedback and their support to our continueous innovation, there're a bunch of new features in V3:

* Now you can "flow" your keyboard by sliding left or right!
* Support two more layouts: single-key layout and 9-key layout.
* Press-hold a key will expand all the characters on that key, including the accented letters (e.g., "a" for "á").
* Prediction is now based on context.
The New Platform

Each time we released a new version, we made some aggressive optimization in the platform and architecture. This time there's also some big improvements.

* The keyboard is now designed to support a variety of layouts. In addition to the two-key layout, we added the single-key layout and 9-key layout.
* The "Flow" engine can detect your gesture and move up the keyboard.
* SDK tools for building language packs are now available. We will open it to limitted partners who could help us develop more language packs.
* Images are seperated from the DLL and thus make the DLL file much smaller. This would help resolve the loading issue on some resource limitted models.

The New Features

* "Flow" your keyboard - You can switch layouts or turn pages by sliding left or right on the keyboard.
* Skins are supported - You can download different skins or design your own skins.
* Press & hold - For those who don't like sliding, now you can hold a key to expand all the possible characters.
* Change priority of a word in dictionary, or delete a custom word.
* Key press sound effect.
* Prediction based on context - The prediction engine can now guess the word based on what you have typed. For example, if you typed "let" and then type for "us", the word "us" will appear prior to "is".
* Next word prediction - If you typed "look", the word "forward to" will be shown in the candidate list.

Of course, this release fixed a bunch of bugs including the uninstall issue in the previous version.

Hey Dash!.....i wanted to say thanks for this one...i tried the previous versions of touchpal and i just didn't like it at all....this one on the other hand is really nice...it includes the option to pick the standard layout(out of 3) that you would like...i chose qwerty(blue colored) and it not only looks nice it works better than the other versions...not as complex..atleast for me since it has the qwerty layout lol and i did install it to my storage card and it works perfectly..have a great weekend guys and girls too(i see there are atleast 3 of us representin):attention:

hey thanks for this one, i seen it used on a video before and would love it on my htc vogue, but when i click on the rapid share link it takes me to a sit to the site but no instructions on downloading it, , give me some guidance please.lol thanks

use that link... download the file. Once that is done, unrar it and you should get 2 files, a exe that serve as a keygen and a .cab file. Once that is done, copy the cab file to the device, install it on either main or storage memory. Then go into keyboard option, touchpal keyboal and then activate, enter your challenge code and enter the 5 digit number in your device and you should be prompt to reset for the registration to take effect.

than your using the keygen wrong. make sure you are using the owners name on the phone and that you are being sure your using the right case since it is case sensative.

i installed it and everything works fine. best on-screen keyboard out right now. but when i try to execute the keygen it says an expected error occurs and it has to close. we're sorry for the inconvenience. i ran it on my laptop and my phone. same thing. any help would be appreciated.

When i access the touchpal activation screen on my Vogue, the owner name and challenge key automatically comes up. i then plug in that challage key into the program on my laptop that downloaded with Touchpal. I hit the <calc> button on the program and it then gives me a new code to enter into my Vogue to activate the program. it doesn't work for some reason. i know i'm missing a step but i'm just not sure what it is.

make sure the letters that are lower case are typed in lower and upper case upper. i now use this keyboard and love it with a passion and have got very speedy on it.

just go under start/settings/personal/input/touch pal/ and than it gives you the number there

no it does sput out lower for mine bro and make sure you are also doing letters like 0 and O correctly.

i seem to be having a problem with the keygen also. I enter the Challenge code, hit calc. it gives me the 5 digit code. I enter it in, a pop up opens. "invalidate registration code!".

Am i doing something wrong?

I get the same problem, and i even copied my key in a notepad, then transfered it to my computer, opened it on my computer, copied the challenge code and then pasted in the keygen and the key just wont work, and god i know what 32872 looks like lol

I think i got something that might work from cootek website when upgrading from v2 to v3, i'll give it a try in a few mins, they say to delete the touchpal folder in the program files folder... I'll try it and edit this post, you guys can also give it a try and let us know your sucess or failure

Edit: Alright, this didnt work for me :P i get the same chalenge code before and after...

alright i found something that might work... i kinda busted my download limit for the month and they'd charge me for the 500mb file about 15 bucks... I'm kinda greedy! but anyways, if we got an humble member who wants to download the torrent, there seems to have a touchpalv3 CRACKED version in there...

Just google this : CooTek.TouchPal.Pro.v3.0.XScale.WM5.WM6.Cracked-SyMPDA.zip

You'll get all the torrent sites

I just found the file alone from some other forums... I removed my old unregistered version of touchpal which was already expired and installed with the new cab which is a little bigger than the one in this thread, dont know if its worrying or not... It installs the same, same keyboard and everything.

You can actually register the product using any 5 digit number and i didnt get any promt that i needed to buy it when i opened it.

I dont know how to share the file so that you guys can download it... DO i post it on the forums or... I can send it to an email as an atatchment if someone wants to up it to rapidshare...

Yeah i just downloaded the rapidsharelink i made and it is corrupted...

I reuploaded 3 files, the original zip (first one), the rar within the zip and the cab itself... Let me know if there is still problem.

I just updated to OMJs latest, tried installing this because I had used it prior with MustanTech (not sure if that's spelled right, whuteva). It installs fine, asks for resolution, then asks to reboot. Whether I reboot or not, it empties out the folder aside from the subfolders (no files) and doesn't seem to follow through with the install. Any ideas, or did I just turn blonde again? I really am, which is why I keep referencing that. :-p Anywho, thanks in advance.

huh nevefr heard of this happening......... did you hard reset and take the battery outafter you flashed?

Ok, I tried pulling the battery and installing, nada. Then doing a hard reset and pulling the battery, still nada. There was nothing else installed (from me, just the ROM). Maybe I should try the OMJ clean one. *sigh*

umm this is a thread about a application called touchpal. are you having trouble with it? it seems like you are talk,in about a ROM if I am not mistakiin?

Got it solved. The version that is downloadable here is for Windows Mobile 6.0. The OMJ is for 6.1. I went to their site (cootek.com) and selected the 6.1 version. Do we have that version cracked here? Did I miss it somehow?

EDIT: And Big Jew, I was talking about the program. I was using it before, but then flashed a new ROM and was having compatibility issues I guess.

Alright. The version of TouchPal that is offered in this thread seems to be only for Windows Mobile 6.0. What I'm now looking for is a version that works with Windows Mobile 6.1. As I was solving my problem of it not working by going to the manufacturers website, I discovered that you can download a 5.0, 6.0, and 6.1 version. I assume that since the versions on here didn't work they were all for 6.0.

roger i copy ...so you have 6.1 and this isnt working for you. So in your case I am not sure if this will work with 6.1 as most wm6 apps do work on 6.1. Lets wait and see if anyone running this on wm6.1 as the same issue. If I am mistaken on what you said, please reiterate.. thanks!
