Default 35mm Audio Multi-Adapter problem

Ok so here is a problem I am having with a 3.5mm Audio Multi-Adapter that I just got in the mail. At first I thought they just sent me a broken one but after some experimenting I found out something. The adapter does work but only if you plug it in while a song is playing. You also can not atatch earbuds untill after you plug the adapter in. After the song is over it quites and you have to repeate the above steps again. You can imagine that this gets real old real fast. I do have another adapter that I got in the mail and this one works just fine. The only thing different about the two that I have is the one that is not working has a usb port for charging as well as a 3.5mm jack.

Thanks

Yes I know it is suppose to have the charging port on there. That is why I bought this particular one because I can just leave it hooked up to my car charger and car kit so all I have to do when I get into my car is plug it into my phone and it is charging and outputting music through my car speakers. I just don't see why this one would be any different then my other without a charging port. I might take you up on that offer dash but I will have to see what the company I bought this from says first.

Thanks

They emailed me back about a fix listed here. I think this will solve my problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=376623

Ok I did kind of a modified version of that fix and my adapter now work. I basically just took pin one and jammed it back in there. Works great now. Dash thanks for the offer and you have been a huge help to me.

Thanks.
