[ ISSUE SOLVED ] HTC Diamond

Hi,
I have 2 Phones,a diamond and a phar100.
Now when i instal windows mobile device center it works for the phar100.
I first used xp and active sync,but the act sync could not detect the diamond.
With this issue i am not capable to do anything else with the diamond then call or send message and have basic themes etc.
But the computer is able to detect the diamond but just as a device.
Just like u would use a usb or storage device.
Is it possible to wipe everythings on the mobile Phone like u would do on a hard disc? and then boot it from a rom wich i have in my system like i would do a fresh install from xp or vista or another OS.
Normaly the Diamond comes with a TT7 i have read,wich is not on the Phone.
I also saw that i need to press the touch screen a little bit under the key i want to press.
I can transef some pics and stuff but cant sync the files.
Would like to fix this issue cause this is my daughters phone.

You have to remember you should use different sync names for different devices. If you have the same sync names, that will definitely cause problems. Secondly are you using the same cord to sync the devices??? The diamond/pro I have found at times to want to only to be able to sync with their specific usb to mini usb cord that they came with. If not it will do almost exactly how you described yours is doing. Yes you can boot to a different os so to speak. Its called flashing your device. This site contains detailed instructions on going about doing this. For a first timer I would suggest using the Kaos touch pro rom. I used it for a long time and it's quite bug free and user friendly. As far as having more personalized themes goes there are also many many of those to be found on this site and directions to go about utilizing these resources. All you need to do is enter key terms (themes, rom's, flashing, etc.) into the many search functions on the site and you're on your way. Hope this helps.

I been busy working on the phones and solved the act sync probs.
Now i use same wire same pc for the 2 phones.
But u am using it on vista,the windows mobile device center works better i think.So i am fine for the moment.
