Touch Pro on Metro PCS

Hey Wckediden people! If ive posted this in the wrong area im sorry i just couldnt find a more specific place to put it in. My question goes out to anyone that has or kno's someone that has flashed a TP to metro pcs and have it "fully" working. I've read the threads about the mms and internet so i got an understandin bout that. But getting into gps is another story some have said they have it workin on metro others say you cant. I was wondering if i have to update my radio when i get it to be able to get gps working and if i do which one will work?... Another thing is i've been looking all over here and different forums bout people using roms on there tp with metro and i was wondering what rom would someone recommend?... only reason why i ask that is because i've been seeing some that say "sprint" or "tellus"...ect. I just want to try to get a lil bit more info about this b4 i dive into it cuz i dont really see alot of post or support about people wit modded tp's on metro.

I also have another question... if i hard reset my phone like lets say after i flash a rom to it will that mess up the metro pcs service flash (houdini)?

Bump..... no one on here has a TP with metro?

If youve managed to switch your phone to metro pcs service it should work fully... i dont see why your phone and data would work but not the gps... even if its a service they dont have if your phone supports gps as the tp does, a simple 3rd party app like gps would be able to lock on to it,

as far as flashing, depending on the rom, in most caes it shouldnt provided you dont allow any customizations to happen, but you may needd some sort of carrier cab.. i dont know if theres any out there for metro pcs, as i never come across one, but if you find it, you should be fine to flash...

Yo dont think for a sec. when i say this, that i would flame you, but why would you wanna have a TP on metro? i mean the phone is $600.(avrg) That carriers data speeds are horrible ... the TP wouldnt know what to do... you wouldnt get the same hard on the way someone from Sprint would.....:lol: In any case to answer your question yes it possible... i dont know how, but i know it is....

Lol naw man i kno u aint flamin me but to answer ur question... i can get the phone off ebay for bout $350(clean esn and NIB) metro's most expensive phone they got its like $229 its the Motorokr Z6m = just threw up in my mouth a lil. so im not trippin bout the money.. and from wut i heard out here in the bay they got evdo rev a so theres a lil bit of speed i just need to load the lastest prl on the phone. i just wanted to kno if anyone has gotten there phones fully workin and customized wit a metro (houdini) flash. I guess i just gotta dive into this myself and see how far i can take it on there service plus the only reason i wanna go metro is because i messed up wit sprint when i was 18.. i owe them $1400..lol... young and dumb shit. But thanks for the help anyway u guys i love coming to this site its tha shit it helps out alot!

P.S. Big Jew i might even try to see if i can get it workin on there service wit ur rom so u can add metro under the compatibility wit it :025:

Well when i called them they told im i could flash it to there service.. they'll use a program call houdini to do it but all ill have is talk and txt.. but ive been searchin around here and some other places and it looks like for mms, internet, email i'd need to edit some reg stuff or a file "can't remember" to be able to get that workin and gps from wut u just said i guess i could just DL a gps program to get that goin.. i just wanna double and triple check so i dont end up wit a HTC BRICK...lol... plus i wanted to see if anyone thats done it and has it workin could give me some in site on how good it is and how well it works wit metro... thanx man for takin ur time out to respond to a brotha.

i dont think this helps any but i read on ppcgeeks forum that a guy was using juggalos rom on a touch pro flashed to metropcs and it was working fine...just take a look at it for yourself...

Oh ok.. cuz i do some shows wit my boys from time to time but shit we mainly stay out in the bay area going to clubs and venues out here. And once again thanx for the info.. i think when i order this phone and i get metro to add it to there service imma just get into moddin it and setting it up so i can get it workin i've always been a determend person so i think i'd be able to get it going.

LOL Ya i had posted this before i even got my TP and was lost on how to do anything... Its good 2 c more people joinin the "metro side" with tp's and diamonds. But damn i thought this post was dead woulda been closed. I was going thru the unread post and seen my metro pcs post and was like WTF...lol.

Waddup yo. I was just wondering, did you manage to find a carrier cab for your TP? I'm running a mogul and was wondering.... I got flashed over the other day and I'm juiced to get this freaked. Been scanning mad boards for a minute and still haven't quite found the solution yet. It's getting to the point where I may just learn how to make the muaf*cka myself!

Man im sorry i didnt get 2 u sooner then now but i've been away for a while and got hella lucky im back home. Anyway... ya i got my TP fully workin on metro... i got mms problems every now and then with them either not goin out or comin in but for the most part it works.. only complaint i have is how slow the internet is on it but wut do u expect with 1x speed.. i just hope metro hurry's up and gets LTE workin cuz i guess they said f*** evdo. If u need any help dont be affraid 2 ask just make sure the question aint been answered already by searchin.

hey guys i went to a metro pcs store to try and get my pro flashed but they told me its not possible in the upper region because the newer market have use aws handset instead of cdma and it will alwys roam.. my question is is this true or r they just bustin my balls?? if it is true anywy to get around that??

naw he messing with you.... i called a store in different regions and all said bring it in and we will get you taken care of and than i asked on that and they said it would be no troubles.

What he is saying is true.. some of the newer markets for metro to open up there all aws only the ones that have been on for years... ex. sanfransico, flordia. are still running the old setup and the new one side by side. I had bought a samsung r450 from them before i got my TP flashed and the samsung was running on aws and the only way i knew was the prl.. i think metro loads 3 diff prl's onto phones the regular one(for older phones)... evdo(even tho its only been confirmed that detroit is the only ones that have it) one and aws ones. So ya if your area just got metropcs 9/10 its on the aws band.
