Requirements: PPC WM5, WM6 - Any Windows Mobile Pocket PC with WiFi connection
Overview: WMWifiRouter is a tool to use your Windows Mobile 6 (possibly 5) as a WiFi <-> GPRS/UMTS/HSPA router. It'll allow you to use WiFi capable devices to connect to the internet through your phone's data connection.

WMWifiRouter is a tool that turns your Windows Mobile device into almost an Access Point. Almost, because it uses an Ad-Hoc (computer-to-computer) connection instead of infrastructure mode. It’s purpose is the same though: allow your WiFi-enabled devices to use your WM device’s data connection to connect to the internet.

WMWifiRouter instantly turns your wifi enabled smartphone* into a wireless internet hotspot. Now you can use your laptop and any other device with wifi to get online and surf, email, instant message, and anything else you normally use the internet for!

What Do I Need?
To use WMWifiRouter you need the following on your mobile device*:
- Windows Mobile 5 AKU 3.3 or newer or Windows Mobile 6
- Both a wifi and a cellular data connection
- An installed and working version of Internet Sharing**
- 15 MB of free device memory

I found that if you install via active sync and then input the defualt it seems to work so far.

ok now that i had time to use it here is my speed test after doing reg edits suggested here on Wckediden

ok, so been trying to connect today. been getting a plain white scren saying

FATAL ERROR

yes, tried the usual, soft reset, and even hard reset. uninstalled and reinstalled. even installed from the .exe file. anyone else having problems?

maybe the serial is bad?? Try to uninstal and then reinstall via PC activesync (exe) file. then enter the code and let us know!

this is how i did it. i originally installed from the .cab file and it worked fine for a day. tried using it today and been getting fatal error all day. maybe the serial did go bad?

Heres what worked for my previous post. Connect your phone via activesync, load program when it first starts it will give you a generic serial. check that and continue. write it down and enter it by hand if need be. This has worked for me as you can see by the 2meg dl speed lol hope this helps. ps: i am connected via wifi router now sending this.

ok, im thinking about giving up. 1.01 never went wrong for me. thanks for all the help though. i've tried just about everyway i can think of, and everyway that was suggested. still no luck.

yes it can work on 6.1

I also had the same problem with the fatal error message. Installed by exe. Worked fine. Did the tweaks for faster internet. Soft reset, then fatal error. Installed via cab. Still fatal error. Major bummer.


edit. Went back to .91 version. Works again. Hmmm?

just wanted to let you guys know that using the serial provided gives you "Fatal Error ???" after the program checks the ban list before finalizing the connection, it disables the program from connecting even in trial mode. I then used Memmaid to uninstall, reinstalled and used trial mode instead, and it worked. Sorry to say this program is not regged, I still need a new serial or crack. I explained that the serial may not work in my original thread...but everyone started to say that it worked fine for them, so I didn't bother, but give me some time and I will fix this Wckediden.

ill send out a notice to the releaser and have him reup....
