Sprint HTC Touch battery life!!!!

I have a question how do i make the battery life last longer on my wifes Sprint HTC touch. She says she does not use the phone at work hardly and she does not text much either. She is at work from 8:00am to 3:30pm and she doesnt have time to really use it during work hours, and at times she has 30-40 percent battery life any suggestions please guuide me through

Is she using any 3rd party applications, if so which ones? Also is bluetooth on the whole time? If you say no to both of these questions, check to see what programs are running by going to Start > Settings >Memory > Running Programs, if there is nothing in there then it is time to get a new battery...i'de go to your local sprint repair center and see if they will replace the battery there in store, I know thats what we do up here.

them main problem with people usually having this problem is that they have applications running in th background sucking the battery dry. in the top right corner of the homescreen there will be an icon go to that and make sure she X's out of all the apps and that it is set to close the apps and not just minimize them to the background. see if she does this and how this works.

There's also an option that I remember seeing that makes the phone exit the program instead of minimizing it the first time you press the x.

correct thats the icon in the top right corner called X-Button by HTC. go to options under that and you can say if you want X to close the program or id you wan tto minimize the program. also you can do it the way i do and get easy menu and that under my touch thread mods with links stickied in this thread and you can close right through the drop down menu but does get rid of X button.
