HTC Touch Problem Power Button Doesnt Wake Up Phone

Hey all, I am new here but have been browsing the forum for alittle while, great stuff. I just recently purchased the touch and enjoy it. It is something new to me for I am not used to the WM platform. I am basically here to ask if anyone knows how to fix a problem I am having or has had it happened to them also. Basically I use the phone and push the power button on top to lock the screen out, I suppress it again and it brings back my display, this is normal operation. But for some reason lately I have been experience when I lock the display and dont come back to the phone for an extended period once I push the power button to display the screen again it does do anything. It just is black screen with flashing green led. I have to then take the battery out and reboot the phone. This has became a pain, and hopefully its not a bug in this phone. I do have apps runningon the phone like HHC, S2U2, Happy Keyboard, ect. But hopefully none of those will cause the phone to be buggy or faulty like this. If anyone else knows of something I can try that would be great. I have become discouraged with this phone already since I am experience bugs here and there already and its a new phone. not sure if this will help but its worth a try. go to programs then go to settings (or any other way u know how to get to settings) then from there go into the power settings than click the advanced tab then deselect the check box that says "turn off phone in ____ minutes" i hope this helps dont knowif it will but its worth a shot if it does work hit dat rep thx

alright not sure try what tigerz said and if that doesn't work try a hard reset on the phone bu pushing and holding the green and red buttons on the phone and soft reset at the same time with the stylus. this will bring your phone back to the way it came out of the box. than reinstall the apps. the only app that you have that i dont run is slide2unlock but i havent heard of it causing any problems. if the hard reset doesnt fix it i would bring it back to sprint and tell them they gave you a faulty phone and would like an exchange for another. hope this helps and let us know how it goes for you.
