I was doing some more snooping around when I came across some interesting information that kinda defies the speed class ratings set by sandisk. here is a message board discussion that goes over it briefly (maybe the best deal is the tiger direct 8gb class 4 card (has to be class 4 by sandisk)
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/s....php?p=6356221 !?!? Looks like I'd better get get a new card asap. essentially the class four (4 mb per second) cards by sandisk are being benchmarked at a whopping 10mb per second write and 9 mb per second read. !!!! However when they start making a "high speed class" rated card expect them to sell the "class 4" cards with lower speeds and the "class 6" at a much higer price.

you mean SDHC is faster. Also tigers price of 89.99 is not the best. The site i listed in my previous post was 20 dollars cheaper if not more.
“ Quote ”Current batch of SanDisk 8GB and 6GB microSDHC, even though labeled as Class 4, is a much faster card. Benchmark test shows sustained write speed at almost 15MB/s. And that's faster than Ultra II and just slightly slower than Extreme III. So it is at least 3 to 4x faster than Class 4.
As with previous experience, future batches may not sport the same speed, especially when they start selling high speed version of the microSDHC. For example, the SanDisk 4GB microSDHC is actually as slow as the Class 4 label.

nope this applys to the MICRO SDHC cards by sandisk as I can gather from the internet (I have not benchmarked the cards myself but I would like to) the class 4 sdhc cards from sandisk are benched at 10mb per write read and 9 to read.
MICRO not MINI!! and I understand your price is better, thats not the point of my link. I've found other messageboards and articles that state similar things about the speed of some of these 4mb p/sec cards stating they are at an upwards of 9 mb p/sec.

well i have the micro 8gb sdhc card made by san disk and it flows faster then 9 ill tell you that.It may also be cause on wm6.1 but for a 700mb movie to my card.via usb takes only around 30 seconds to transfer. But this post isn't about card transfer speed. Its about pricing on sd cards. So lets try not to stray off topic.
