help with dialer skins???!!!!

hey guys when i try to install a dialer skin on my phone i get a message that says pocket pc cab installation creator!! then it would let it install successfully but my skin isnt there.....what do i do???? thanks in advance

do a soft reset by pressing the button under the phone next to the sd card! when the phone boots up, you should be good to go!

did a soft reset twice and it still not showing up

what dialer are you trying to install // what kind of cellie u got ?

also make sure you unzipped the file first if the dialer is in a zipp folder

o my bad on the question i have a mogul and its not in a zipped folder even when i try and install the buffy the body dialer it doesnt work.....says its made with a pocket pc cab installation creator

i will go ahead an take a look at it ..
I will try an install it on my touch ..If there is an issue with it , i have no problems remaking it for you ..

Is this the first dialer you have installed on your 6800??

on this phone yes ive done other dialers on my previous mogul but not this one yet

ok man that might be the issue.. I am a touch person ..
how ever you will need to install
the big dialer first

soft reset, then install the dialer skin

here is some quotes from questions and answer from prev.


dash :: notice that you have a mogul with the WM6 dialer.you need to get the touch diealer and install hat first than install the cab file for this to work.


Mougal guy:: So install the big button dialer correct? and then install the dialer after

dash:: correct you need to install that firt since these dialer skins are mad off of th bi dialer so tat must be present... once you got that present and installed soft reset and than intall the skin and you will be golden.

koo thanks man it worked but now the only problem is is that i have no dial pad now lol man i neva this much trouble with a dialer skin b4 ill jus play around with it for a while and c wat happens

Somebody else Mogul wise had the same issues with dialers, hopefully he comes back an shares this with you..

Or dash: will look into it, a little further since he also is a mogul guy..

i was on my computer at work and aw this thread when i was on my phone.... i had th cab to the skins backed up on my storage card so i could test. and since bocked to Wckediden at work i had to search google. i found the big button dialer and downloaded and emailed the cab file and installed. than i installed the dialer skin and it worked perfectly!!! so dont understand the problem that you guys are having. and of course i forgot to backup the cab to post before i uinstalled... but search google and see if there is a big button dialer or touch dialer that loos slighty different and than try that one.... if you find one please do share the link or the cab with us. Thanks

I have a sim problem. I installed the big button dialer, soft reset, installed the kim skin, oft reset but my dialer still shows as the big button one with no skin. Im running NO2CHEMS rom ver 5058. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

if you have a touch you dont need to download the big button dialer...you didnt read properly.

I have a Mogul. I had a touch but I didnt update what phone I have in perferences.

o ok, please update so we dont have confusion. ok being that u have a mogul did u download a skin that is for moguls? b/c the title will let you know what phone is the skin for. and sometimes the skins wont work properly with some moguls for some reason.

Yea it says it should work for all ppcs.

well it will work than if it says mogul and other ppcs....... make sure you soft reset after you install the cabs.
