[ ISSUE SOLVED ] Is my mogul bricked or fixable

I was flashing back to the latest stock rom from alltel (they are my carrier) from the custom 6.1. I relocked the phone as the steps said to and was loading the update. It got up to 12% and errored out. My mogul is stuck on the rainbow colored screen. I could not reconnect to the media device center (vista) any longer. The screen on my mogul says in the top right corner says RUUNBH. Right below that on the left side of screen it says:
TITA100
SPL-2.07.0000
CPLD-9
can this be fixed or is my phone bricked? Thanks for your help with this.

have you tried flashing back to a stock rom? or another custom one...try a couple others before you do anything extreme

try a hard reset and did u hard spl before flashing ANY rom

ok please search there is way too many of these threads aroud the site and nobody searches for the easy problem before they post so please do in the future. you phone isnt bricked follow these steps.

1. since you relocked the phone your fine. on the botton of the screen right now when not connected with usb it should read serial on that rainbow screen
2. plug usb into computer and into the phone.
3. now where serial was you will see usb now which means that you are connected to activesync even though it wont show on your pc.
4. run the exe file for the stock rom
5. nad you should be golden bro. it might stop at 11-13% but it should pick back up by itself after a little so dont pull out the usb from the phone or the computer.

tell me how this works for you.

I tried what you suggested and I got a error 328. INVALID COMMAND.
The update utility cannot be used for your PDA Phone. Please check your update utility. Any other suggestions. Can someone point me in the direction I may need to go on this site to fix this. Step by Step would help alot. I need my phone. Much appreciation.Thanks

bro there is a step by step look in my signature and i also gave you one above!!!!!! are you sure that your flashing YOUR carriers rom on there? if not you will need to unlock to flash a different carrier. and make sure you are flashing a mogul rom and not a touch rom or anything different.

no clue why you would be getting that error. try to run the relocker tool again and see what that does for you. it might have had a little hiccup when it was relocking the bootloader.

Pop up screen comes up saying No Device Connected. Would you like to try copying again. I clicked on yes and that same pop up just keeps popping up. doesnt get past that. This is really frustrating. I know you guys are tired of me and my problem with this. Sorry. I Just want to get past this issue. Is there anything else that I can try?

a different xomputer preferablly with xp since i have a feeling that you are on vista.

HI well on my mogul im getting the htc main page, where it shows your ROM and im getting No Radio and it stays there, i did soft and hard reset but nothing seem to work. I unlock my ROM be4 then locked my rom again..and now thats all i get. my phone doesnt connect to my comp. so i can just upload another ROM..any1 with ideas or that had this problem before?, thank you very much :triste:

ok first of all post in the thread of the rom that you are using so we know what radio you have to flash over....... and also its not bricked and it is connected as long as it says usb on the bottom and not serial when in bootloader mode... so when you post in the thread of the rom that you used we would be more than happy to help you out.

hey my moguls been jacking up latley! like it came outta no where too! my mogul is basically worthless closed! the backlight wont turn on and the mic dont work and i have to open it to do anything! this happen to anyone? if so how do u fix it? or can u? is it bricked?

no bricked is wayyyyyyy different..... you wouldnt be able to have any function and the phone wont go past a bright white screen...... you just need a hard reset. to do this all you have to do is hold the two buttons with the white dots on them and while holding them down soft reset width the stylus..... you will lose all info on your phone so use a program like pimbackup to backup the contacts and the texts if wanted.

try to reflash your rom to see if it fixes the issue. if it doesn't then its hardware related and should get it replaced

I would just take it in to Sprint store. I drop my phone last week a button got stuck and they replaced no questions. If your phone is doing what you say it is they wont even question a replacement.......

if you haven't flashed a rom then you obviouslly have stock. find your stock rom in the rom release section or the newest version, download to pc, run the .exe and follow instructions. please go to the link in my signature for more info on flashing.

if they have some in stock they can replace it there, but they are more likely to send for one

Flash this if your gonna flash a stock rom , it is the Newest for the Mogul rom update. www.htc.com

I flashed my first ROM yesterday on my new alltel htc 6800 because I had the 1.40 radio and I had this exact same problem and thought I had really screwed the thing up. After reading this thread ditched my Vista computer, rounded up an XP machine and reconnected my rainbow colored 6800 and tried to install the new rom and everything went flawlessly.

glad it worked for you.... yeah some versions of vista can act flaky thats for sure........ if all else fails vista is your friend and can be found at any library or school still. :>

have you tried a hard reset? its the white screen of death bro and means something like the memory/ram or something on your board went.

well first of all you're gonna get in trouble for posting the same thing 3 times...just relax and wait for someone to answer....

now all i can say is to try flashing a new rom through the SD Card..thats the only way if you say that you cant establish connection to your pc...or even try hard reset if you havent already...

i tried hard reset but it goes back to the same stage ... now i have not tried the flashing the new rom throught the SD Card.... now can you please be kind and provide me with that process.

ok you have the gps radio....... i think the trouble that you are facing may be that you went from a gps rom with a gps radio to a non gps rom which would mess with the groove of things. what i want you to do is this:
1. hook up to pc via usb.
2. press and hold the power and the camera burttons while soft resetting to enter manual bootloader
3. on the bottom of the screen while plugged in it should say usb (unplug to see if it says serial and if it does plug back in and wait for it to change back to usb)
4. run the ron that you want to flash too.....
5. being in manual bootloader should get you by the troubles..... when it says usb on your device you are making a connection with activesync even though it wont show it on your computer or device...... when it says serial you arent making that connection...... hope this helps and if you ahve firther questions feel free to ask. jsut follow the steps in the flashing guide and you will be fine my friend.

your problem nost likely is that you need to update to th newest radio....which i beleive is the 3.42.......yours is only 3.37......im going to mark thread solved and close it since it seems like OP resolved his issue and since then there has been 4-5 other people buming this thread and there are way to many of these when it all can be found in the tutorial guides.......
