Ultimate Launch V 12 [Today plug-in that sets up tabs like a cube etc]

when I selct a jpg, ico bmp, or gif in the icon section all it shows is the generic icon for those file types.

anyone know how to convert jpg files into ink files to use as icons in ultimate launch..

Is there a way I can get it to work where the clock is like in your video? rather than under it..... running the HTC touch, besides that I think its an awesome application

Hey guys

I've been using this program for a while now but ever since i've updated to the newest rom i've been having some errors. but since this is the UL thread ill stick to the UL problem. Like I said it was working fine before but now the screen just disappears. I check the today options in the start/settings/today tab and it is still clicked on. it is the only thing that i have on acutally. Has anyone else been having this kind of problem?

you may not see it .... but its there. try tapping in your screeen until it pops up.

I watched all 3 video's and Dash's video he has a program at the bottom of his mogul that scroll's through the unit's status (ie memory, space). I have read most of this forum and can not find what the name of the program is. Could help me with this...

that program is called perastats do a search for perastats and you will find also in the future please stay on topic in the thread...perastats has nothing to do with ultimate launch

Sorry about that, but I did not know the name of the program. This ultimate launch program is pretty awesome. So far I have had no problems at all with the program.

Page 13 hehe After page 15 I won't admit I can't get it working :)
2 questions...

I can't get "Date" to come down from the top of the list in order to move UL up to the top. I took UL from 1/2 way down up to the #2 position but "Date" is still above. Will this be why I am reading through page 13? :)

Also, just so I get the wording right from your 20 explanations...

uncheck the dat its on the taskbar anyways and in home!!!! start/settings/personal/today/items

uncheck htc home add it to ul and than check ul and it will be there!!!!!!!!! just like said already and shown in the videos.... im sorry there are 4 videos in this threads first post what is soooooo hard people we show you the exact setup from install!!!!

I searched this whole thread to try and find an alternative calendar plugin or third party calendar application that i can put in ultimate launcher .... no luck ... can anyone suggest some calendar programs that work within ultimate launcher... i only tried today agenda and wasnt to happy with that ...

also ultimate search is another application that does not work within ultimate launcher ... anyone know of an alternative application for that , which works in ultimate launcher ?

SBSH Pocket Breeze is a nice setup, it gives a varity of options that you can tab inside of the calendar as well and works good in UL. The only bug is I see is the scrolling is often buggy if the wcked is set to a large height setting. Other than that - perfect.
Oh, you can also customize the calendar with various different themes as well.

Well I know one reason, when people find out about this stuff they think its cool and decide to give it a try and get into all this stuff. It takes a real smart phone junkie to keep updating there phones with the newist software. When I first got into it I made my phone how I wanted it and I thought it couldint get any better bc I had my phone the way I wanted it. I never touched another program for my phone for couple of months (4-5 give or take), this was the time I was on XDA all day long. If this flashing to a new ROM thing goes through smothly for me I will consider taking this thing to a new step, making themes, helping out more ect..

I found a cool little trick for ultimate launch. Do you want to be able to make shortcuts to system settings, such as bluetooth? here is how you do it!

On your PC create a new text file containing the single line:

21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,23

save the file as bluetooth.lnk (make sure it has not been saved as bluetooth.lnk.txt)

Then copy this file into into your pda \windows\start menu\programs (or wherever you want to put it)

You then have to get a bluetooth icon, google it, then re-adjust the image to 32/32 pixels, and save it as an ico file, then put it into Ultimate Launch, and voila!

4winmobile. To use something else replace the 23 at the end of the 21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,23 with whatever you want to use, IE today would be 21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,13 and name it as Today.Ink then find an appropriate icon for it, and then you got a shortcut for the today screen.

I researched this one because I am lazy, and I wanted to be able to get to my bluetooth settings so I can easly connect my ht820s (motorola stereo headsets) for when I go running in the morning. If you need the icon files, i can post the one for bluetooth.

sorry, i made the same mistake myself, the file is a .LNK for link, but not sure if caps work, so .lnk not ink, i renamed it on my computer, shipped it to my device and it worked. You will also have to find a suitable icon, you can use one of the icons that ul comes with, but you will have to select the tab that you want it under, then click new, and select XP-Icon (32 bit) then you choose the file for the remove programs.lnk and then go to the XP-Icon tab and click browse, and navigate to program files/ultimatelaunch/icons and choose an icon that you think represents the remove programs shortcut the best. Hopefully this helped you, just post again if it didn't, again i appologize cause that really does look like i put .ink

Just discovered this (on another board, hope it is ok to share) but I tried it for one and it worked...
To install and use:
Just drop the folder in My Documents, and then in UL - add a lnk/icon to which ever app you want.

You're probably referring to HTC home, which is customized with HTC Home Customizer (HHC). But there are tons of ways to set up your Today screen with different apps that can be used in or with Ultimate Launcher. Do some more reading and video watching, and listen for key words and program names that you can search for here using the green search button above (I imagine that's how you found this thread). Anyway, keep reading bro and you'll find lots of stuff.

I think so. In UL Settings, go to the display tab, and put "transparency minimized" to 0%.

your clock is not moving when u switch tabs ...?

if that is the case then it is not setup in UL ...

go to setting / personal / today on phone and items ...

uncheck HTC .. if that is the clock u are referring to .. add that today plugin in UL

In start/settings/today/items, unchech UL, then make your changes in hhc. Then go bacl and re check UL, uncheck htc home. Golden.....

There is no official UL noob guide. There is however, this huge thread with all of your answers. Read a little more. If you get there on your own, you'll be better off for it.
