Sprints Touch Diamond Snags An August 28th Release Date!!! .'.

A few new details have leaked in from corroborating tipsters about Sprint's Verizon-slaying version of the HTC Touch Diamond, and we're pretty sure you'll be interested in hearing 'em. The biggest news is the release date -- instead of having to wait until after Labor Day, Sprint users interested in nabbing the handset will reportedly be able to do so this Thursday. Also of note, it sounds as if Sprint will indeed be referring to the Diamond as, well, the Diamond (and not the Victor). Oh, and the extra bulk over the GSM counterpart will net it a more capacious 1,350mAh battery. For those that skipped straight to the closer (it's cool, really): August 28th, $299 on a 2-year contract, or $549 straight out.

lmao thats a rumor but you know sprint.... i will prolly pick one up since it seems pretty official and that the rumor may actually be true..... touch pro and diamond thats a lethal combo.

ya i know its a rumor lol but ur right you never know with sprint i guess we will have to wait and find out on that day huh. im hearing it may still be the 2nd but through like telesales you can order it on the 28th. but i hope its pretty offcial and it comes out because ill be getting it especially if i dont have to get it with a red back ill go with a blue back like a dark blue or all black. but im going to get both the diamond and the touchpro

im not sure i wont find out anymore info really until tomorrow. some stores might have them some me might not. depends. also no one knows for sure yet if the 28th trye still or still a rumor. hopefully its true.

dam this makes it really tempting to get the diamond over the touch pro!! Besides the keyboard there really isnt a difference is there? Cuz if thats the case i dont think I can wait for the touch pro, specially seeing how i hardly use the qwerty keyboard.

there are some differences like i havent seen this phone and all since i got the touch pro but i heard it doesnt have the sd card slot and has all internal memory like the iphone.... can anyone confirm this for me.

all the description for the diamond says it only has 4GB internal memory and no expansion slot. so it's either get the diamond for internal memory, which should load apps faster or touch pro for expansion capability

it wil support up to 32 gigs and the biggest out right now is 16 gigs.

you didnt hear it from me but it will be released and dropped at the sprint corporate stores and online on the 15th of october. :> i love having the inside scoop on this stuff from myself and not through someone else anymore :yahoo:
