Contacts all screwey after new rom

So I installed the 6.1 rom for the mogul and after I did this i used sprite backup to restore my contacts and email info. It has the contacts in there but for some reason when I try to search by letter it doesn't find anything and as well when I receive text messages it doesn't show the persons name anymore just their number.

I couldn't really think of anything, any ideas?

i can't help you solve your problem but i have a suggestion. next time use pimbackup to backup your contacts, texts, call logs, etc. it's the best there is just in case something like this happens again

Yeah I guess its more of a hassle than anything else because I have the numbers they just arent showing up right for some reason, so in reality i could just go through and enter them all again.

how did you get the contacts there after the restore after flashing?

i use none of those programs that's why i use either MS outlook or mail2web easy as 1 2 3

I used sprite back up to get them back on the phone after the new rom. It puts them on but then if I try and go in and edit any contacts or search for them via pushing like M to go to all M's on the default contacts program it doesn't find anything and when I try to save what I edited I get an error. So I'm thinking about just writing them all down and hard resetting.

thats your problem your restoring registry along with that from an old rom to a new one..... do a hard reset and than enter them manually than save them using pimbackup so you wont have to worry bout it again....

Ah there we have it. Thanks for the help guys. Luckily I wrote all the contacts down.
