GPS on alltel without custom rom or sprint 3.35

so what do you think than? i mean ive tried kaos rom and dcds and now im on 5065 and like it but im always stuck on mms! I used quettes alltel mms hack and the only custom rom i have got it to work on is 5065! I just want a rom with the best of both and one that has good features. I get bored easy so sometimes I just flash to do it...lol

lol and yeah sounds like it might work since the stuff he said bout the drivers and the chipset are correct...... give it a shot and tel us how it works for you.

welll would i have to use the relocker since i am unlocked right now and on 5065

yes oyu would need to relock your phone flash to the alltel stock rom than do this........ look at my signature as you know for the steps.....

I have the Alltel Stock rom, and installed as per directions, and all seems to be working fine, Picked up my location in less then 10 seconds, was totally floored, might wanna sticky this info for others as well.

I belive I did everything right then Google Maps has me located in Nepal, i'm not located in Nepal. Anyone else have any problems with their location?

with google maps did yopu go to the right softkey and than tp get gps?

I installed it on my phone just as instructed, works great. I am actually amazed on how close it pinpoints my location.

Just purchased my phone a couple weeks ago and am still learning (sorry if my verbage is incorrect) - that link was one of the first things I was going to try with my phone. It appears that they removed the updated Alltel ROM. I can't find it anywhere... looked on a few other sites and read reports that there were issues with that release.

Anybody have any other suggestions to enable GPS on my Altel phone without flashing a custom rom?

I looked and can only see the 2.14

3.35 is through sprint not for alltel.... if your looking for the official alltel rom your best bet is the htc website at www.htc.com

no problem but i would recommend that you go custom and you will have the gps built into the rom running stabely..... kaos is even taking beta testers ffor his new roms with all providers!!

I have downloaded and installed the items from lancelhoff com and also installed google maps. My gps was working for 2 days buy now when I use google maps, I get the error that I don't have a gps receiver in my phone. I have removed the program, rebooted, reinstalled the program, rebooted but still the same error. Anyone have the same problem and can offer a cure?
