ya weather on auto update garmin as well....could be sprint email. could be email. but this isn't a rom issue so stop crapping my thread .

hey guys not sure if anyone has run into this but i am stuck at the unlocker screen when trying to update to your rom kaos. using cokeman 2.31. i had djharveys rom earlier so i decided to try yours. it doesnt give me a 1005 code or anything just stuck at that screen hard reseting or soft reseting wont fix it. do i have to do it by the sdcard way. im doing it by usb right now. does it mean anything when i run the ruu, it shows a picture of the mogul instead of the touch. i know im downloading the correct .nbh file. thanks in advance.

i had another question. the last couple of roms that i have tried. the battery seems weird. it would be like at 18% and then all of a sudden its at 51% or it would stay like at 100% all day. thanks in advance.

Damn, I'm having a problem. After flashing and everything, I followed all the steps in the tutorial, it loas up but doesn't go further than the HTC SMART MOBILITY screen. I've tried hard resetting, everything, and I've tried looking all over and can't figure out whats wrong. This is the first time I've ever installed anything like this, so theres a good chance I'm doing something wrong.

your missing the radio... look in the first or second post and you will find the radio that you need to flash toyour phone..... you will have to do it via sd card 2 gigs or under and have the card formatted to fat32.

I'm confused as to what the radio is, which makes me feel stupid, but this is the first time I've ever done this. I formated my 1GB card to fat32, and put the RUU_signed.nbh file on it, and when I load into bootloader nothing happens, I see the RGB bars and it just says serial at the bottom.

Another update. I got it to work over usb, and it installed, what I thought was fine, than it gave me some error, and had to do a recovery. So I had to redo it, and now when it loads up instead of the red numbers and stuff that used to be there it says No Radio, even though I just installed it.

Ahahah yah it took awhile but I love it now. I have the 2dtouchflow on it and it's running SO much faster than it did on stock. Only problem is now windows mobile has an ugly green theme that doesn't blend with 2Dtouchflow at all and I can't figure out how to change theme color..

Not sure if you fixed this yet though but that has to do with TouchFlo.

Go to Settings/Personal/TouchFloConfig and then just delete the path for any given gesture and when you preform that gesture, nothing will happen.

Just wanted to say that I've been very apprehensive about flashing my touch. This rom looked really interesting so I figured I would bite the bullet and try it.

Not only was I impressed with the rom, but also with how easy the actual flash went.

I read everything 4 and 5 times before starting and it all went off without a hitch.

I've got one issue with my roaming indicator flashing, but that's probably an Alltel issue. I did an over the air upgrade of the roaming and still no go. But I'll work on that one.

I think I'm hooked. :D

I'm loving this rom! I got the flashing roam indicator fixed. And I have finally figured out what all the rage is over threaded sms. It's so much nicer being able to keep up with a conversation just like IM.

The only problem I have now is I still can't get GPS working. I've upgraded my radio to 3.37.15. I already had 3.37.10. That didn't work so I upgraded to 3.42.30 and still can't get it to work.

This rom list GPS among the things included. But I tried several of the other drivers to try to get gps working. I finally gave up and hard reset back to the base kaos rom.

I finally came across a post suggesting using HTC GPS Tool. I downloaded it and since it doesn't time out and cease looking, it finally locked onto 3 satellites. Now Google Maps finds the satellites. I haven't tried TomTom yet.

format the card to fat32 and than rename the radio file correctly and flash from the card...... use a backup card liek the stocker because everything will be lost on the card.

I uploaded this Rom but for some reason i cant get HTC home to work on my XV6900 when i go to settings it lockes up and when i soft reset it as soon as everything loads it Lockes up again had to reflash to get it back is HTC home just not work with this ROM?

between the two its basically the style you are looking for...... each one of the chefs between jew and kaos have their own styles.......... i would run both and see what one is best fit for your needs of your ppc.... we all use are ppc's differently which leads to us needing different apps and roms :>

I found another post on ppcgeeks that claims to be able to get quick gps lock ons. I'm planning to give it a try. I've got everything backed up so I should be good to go.

Ok, Kaos' ROM is already GPS enabled. However, it can take several minutes to get a lock and you kind of need to be outside for it to work.

I tried the fix for a faster lock at ppcgeeks:

It works great!!! I now get 4 or 5 satellites locked on INSIDE the house in less than a minute.

I used the instructions for Alltel, since that is my carrier. I also had to use the task manager option since ##3424 did not work for me.

funny my gps locks with in seconds. inside my home....i use it daily for 8 hrs m-f..never have a lock on issue........

It would eventually get a lock and THEN I could use it for google maps, etc. And that was every time I wanted to use gps if it had been a significant time since the last prime.

With the fix I posted, I get a lock in under a minute.

The ROM is great and I'm loving it. I'm just loving faster gps lock too. :D

why play with kiddy stuff like google maps? lol i use garmin.. already does everything you just stated. on a fresh flash takes only about 20 seconds.

I actually prefer to use TomTom. And if TomTom is kiddy, then so be it. It's what I like.

Google maps is what everyone seems to refer to for testing gps, so that's why I mentioned it.

It's really irrelevant. My lock times were the same with all gps software.

Somehow I feel like you think I'm putting down your ROM. You could not be further from reality. I really like it. It's loads better that stock and the only way I've managed to get gps working period.

I only posted the other link for those of us who do happen to be experiencing long lock times. It did improve mine exponentially.

I was only trying to help, not disrespect your ROM.

well it most likely is your radio...also as far as the audio i don't know what you are saying. garmin audio works fine for me...as well as normal audio....

My radio is 3.37.10 and the audio on garim is fine it just seems like all the other audio is extermely low such as when my phone rings and i when i tried to go into the NUE audio it says there was an unexpected error and it says
