the rom nbh doesnt open. as the tutorial states you drop the nbh in the ruu and than you run the romupdateutility.exe

Ok this is the very last time I say this so this is your WARNING. When you get home put the sd card in your pc rename the the RUU_SIGNED.nbh file to TITAIMG.nbh then put it in bootloader mode

the name is ruu_singed.nbh. that I downloaded. but can't open it to move it. that's why I asked do I need to find were it down loaded to to move it. I never did a flash like this. I have all was used a kitchen or exe.setup to flash. like on xda dcd's flash's r run liked that.

bro not at all a kitchen is where they are made..... look at my signature where you got the RUU it gives you step by step process..... follow the steps and you cant get it wrong

the reason I said I wwas going to try 1 last time with my pc is because I do not have a spare sd card and can't get one till next week.

you dont need a spare. just drag all files to desktop from the card. than format to FAT32 and than flash... than take off the rom file and redrag all the files from your computer back to the card.

Then follow everything D/\SH and Tweety has told you. That method has been done 1000's of times. I know I'm 110% sure it works. I think you might wanna read it again 2 or 3 times its a proven method

ok thanks dash ill look into that when I get home. guy and gals thank u vary much for yall's help and patience. I know I have asked the same thing over and over just bare with me. learning new ways to flash as I haven't done before.

On take 3, when I would go into USB to PC connections...it would give me an option to set the phone to act as a SD reader/removable drive.

Not so much on take 5.

How can I add that option?

ok the problem you made with this statement is he is trying to do it via activesync through his pc, he may have a preferance like me of doing it through the pc. i just think hes not getting a clear enough explaination, here let me try.

ok download the ruu then you have the rom update utility you downoad from d/\sh's sig and if its like mine then it places that folder under local disk c, so you go to local disk c through my computer then you see,

go into that, this is will you will drop kao's rom aka the nbh file

THEN you want to run the update utility.exe which will essentially flash the rom,

you will then just follow through with the steps and it will flash your rom, itll just be a series of next, oks and what not then your phone will go grey with a blue loader bar with a percentage. thats the flash process. once at 100% it will boot. go through to where you are at the today screen shut it down, take the battery out for one minute, and then turn the phone back on and you have successfully flashed your phone.

it was an option kaos had enabled/disabled he will have to tell you, i can't find it in his build log for take 3 unless its where he disabled smartcard drivers.

lol don't i know it. his take 3 was the best but i hated that bubble too! it was annoying, especially when in call. can't adjust call volume unless i say hold on for like a whole minute! fumbling with that bubblelol

yeah you couldn't just hit the scroll wheel up and adjust the volume. see i drive a convertible and whent he tops down i have to have the volume turned up all the way to hear and the default setting was 2 notches down and it couldn't be changed easily so when i answered ide have to tell them hold on then ide click the bubble turn it up then talk. pissed me off everytime, but other then that the rom was sexy, well there was the theme reg change but that was easy fix. :cry: bring back updated take 3 WOOO PETITION TIME.

Take 3 was badass, no doubt. I'm giving Take 5 a shot for now....so far, so good. KAOS - don't think we're trashing......great job on Take 5, EXCELLENT job on Take 3.

when i flashed the rom it does not have what that says.. mine still says 3.42.02 so does that mean i need to update my radio to get the full affect of the flash?

but i have to say kaos great rom u have build. i like it alot plus it also it also has a full great things u have added. grerat job again.

dash and everyone who helped me with this flash thank u vary much... like i said in a reply before pop up pic's are great because if it was not for thoughs i most likely wouldn't have got it.

on the safe side i would literally run the new radio its easy as hell usb in and run the .exe and then you shouldn't have to worry, reason you want to flash the new radio is with an off radio youll end up freezing when you boot up the machine and only way to end it is to hard reset. i always flash the radio that comes with my roms just to be sure.

hmmm not necessarily so. i've used the 3.42.02 radio before with his roms and it works flawlessly. only problem i had was signal searching hehe i live in an area with suckie ev coverage so that's why i got tha airave but that's another matter. with the new radio 3.42.50, my signal is found within seconds! instead of minutes heh saves me lots of battery and time

Anyone else drop touchflo 2d on this ROM and run into memory leak issues?

I reflashed to it thinking that maybe it was a program or a bad initial install. One thing that happens which is interesting is the little battery notifier in the upright corner goes away with touchflo is installed. Too bad cause I really love that feature!

Other than that, great ROM, great battery life. With 0 programs installed battery lasts about 4 days with minimal usage. Get it all loaded up with iContacts, Thumbcal, Oggsync and Touchflo 2d and it lasts about what it used to, a day to a day and a half. More the device's issue though.

Looking forward to the touch pro with 2x the specs! :)

im going to get the 3.42.50. before i flashed kaos's rom i didnt have a prob with signal now i do witch is not a problem. i was talking to dash about my htc customizer. cuz sense i flashed that the only problem i having with it.

The ROM will not play it. You can add a program that will....search for HTC YouTube and you'll find the program you need.

Hey Guys, I am currently stuck in the Red-Green-Blue screen. I followed the instructions to flashing a custom rom, I unlocked the phone, downloaded this rom copied it into the RUU file then ran the exe file, it originally stated that the file was corrupt, which I read is fine, but the phone stayed in Red-Green-blue screen. I then hard reset it and it is still in the Red-blue-screen. Please help!

Sorry I have a Sprint Mogul, and I orginally had the updated stock rom

Hey Kaos, Yeah I ran the Hard_SPL_HFG.exe file that was attached to the thread regarding flashing a rom, It went through the dos window and stated that it was done

um..i am not kaos but ok..next thing you should do is make sure you have the correct radio. it needs to be at least 3.42.02, i think but personally i use 3.42.50

download skyfire beta web browser. u can watch youtube on there and also if u go to 66stage.com u can watch movies online. the hole browser is vary cool. u can zoom in and out of pages u r looking at and it kinda works like touchflo finger friendly. thats what im using. also when ur on this site from internet explore the screen is whight and looks nothing like this site but on skyfire it looks the way it should if ur on ur pc. but it's up to u.. just thought ill. this rom is just like the sprint update to 6.1 but kaos has changed colors on screens and among other things. this is a upgraded stock rom with more options and looks alot cooler.

don't download to your phone.... you need to download onto your computer to flash it rofl.... and it takes like 20 minutes to dl if i recall
