I have a ppc6800 and last friday i slide the keyboard out to text, and the screen doesnt turn. It turns to look like a barcode and wont respond to my touches as long as it's ope. I slide it closed and it works fine. Saturday the screen just doesn't turn, works fine when closed but not when ope. Sunday the screen doesn't always turn on. About half on the time it'll turn on, but the other half, the screen just turns a light gray and doesnt have a picture. Now the screen won't display the picture at all. Could flashing a new ROM fix it? But i don't know if you use the screen when flashing it. I can't send it back because I got it online, not from the store. There is a place that fixes phones and I can get a screen for $140, but they aren't even sure if thats the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

try a hard reset and see if it still does it.... if so than its a hardware issue........ it doesnt matter that you bought it online... i have bought many phones off-line and just transferred the insurance from my first phone with sprint over to all the different phones i had without troubles..... they auto do it for me now lmao.

let me know how you make out...I have my mogul packed away in a box some where..I could sell it at a good price for parts....Pretty sure its still clean..But i could have that check...needs ports fixed.for charging..other then that looks like new screen and all...let me know...but first try flashing a rom or hard resetting...

I already hard reset it, and no, I don't have insurance. Tonight I'm going to try flashing the ROM. You don't need to be able to see the screen right, as long as its on? Sorry, I forgot I haven't flashed mine for a few months.

naw just follow the steps on the screen on your pc.

It didn't work. Flashed to 6.1 and its still black.

i do believe within 30 days of ur activation u can add insurance to ur account

and no insurance ouch...... you could always buy and install a new screen and see what it does....

True.... but a screen costs over what, like $100? I'm probobly gonna end up having to use a crappy non-WM phone. I'm going to Altell sometime this week to see what other phones they have, maybe I can afford a non pocket pc smart phone.

naw you can get them on ebay for around 30-40 bucks max and trust me they arent hard to take out.
