when i go to google maps and go to menu then ress use gps i get a blue dot blinking in the middle of my screen with a green backround it just stays here
idk why,
on top it says 18kb seeking gps satellites (0)...

can someone help me

i have never heard of this problem. you got the rev a rom 3.16 or the WM 6.1 rom correct???? you might not be finding satellites have you tried going outside and seeing if it can find them. the first time ran google maps can take up to 10 minutes to connect than just seconds after the first time,

well the blue is ur gps location obviously, but get gps test app i dunno if the have it here try local search and then get that running, and then on the screen when u see it say " GPS running" retry the googlemaps track location option again

i also have the similar problem after upgrading to 6.1..it just keeps seeking gps satellites.....it also says my handset doesn't seem to be compatible with my location (beta)feature.

make sure that on your device when you go to settings/connections/external gps (even though it says external as though its for a gps device that you link to it still applies in this instance) that you have the setting under the 'access' tab set to allow windows to manage gps automatically.

i WOULD try and load a GPS app first and get a GPS signal. (Sprint NAV, telenav, garmin, etc.) Then once you have locked on to a GPS signal then try to locate yourself in google maps.

huh so your not getting any connection at all? what is the rom and radio version on your device?

no i do get connection cuz it'll show mw the route and all but when i choose to see my location a pop up shows up saying that my device is not compatible. my rom is 3.56.651.0 and my radio version is 3.42.02

what is the app your using....I never had a issue with garmin....used on mogul touch now touch pro....always works like a deeam.....we gotta get you on one of my build there darlin...:XsX:

sorry D/\SH..i got it working :) with the help of a buddy of mine toked420 :) all i had to do was set my com ports to zero and do a soft reset. then go to menu,enable gps...wait for it to connect and then choose MY LOCATION... :) then i was on the map :) thanks for replying though...it lets me know that you care :) kudos to u! ;)

On 11/6/08 Fatlal_Error lost his life to a less so fatal error. i dont know about no dodge or fords but thanks to everybody for helping me set up google maps...im terrible with directions so this saves my a$$ all the time :) i owe you guys!!! ----oh yeah and forget dodge or ford its all about HONDA & BIG CHEVY TRUCKS :)

this is the problem when runing google maps it doesent show pics or act properly when you are roaming it will just show a blue screen.... so take roaming off and try again
